Having studied in London, Allson’s adopted home of Falmouth, Cornwall is where he is currently producing organic forms, inspired by the outdoors for the interior of a domestic setting. With interesting projects such as Cloud (below) and Boy, Girl, Bench - Allson’s juxtaposition of high tech and handmade demonstrates his talent as an well-rounded designer.

Lincoln Kirby Bell, the ceramics artisan of Newlyn creates an eclectic range of work from stark black and white to the classic blue and cream of the orient, adapting it to functional tableware. Inspired by the techniques of the 16th to 17th century English folk potters, Bell’s work is sophisticated and expressive. As has been mentioned in recent national press, British designers are the ones to watch within the ceramics industry, this is clear when discovering Bell’s work.
